Cookie Policy

In one line: this site uses no cookies, has no analytics tools and does not profile you, which is why there is no banner to dismiss. This page explains the one thing the site does store in your browser and why consent is not required. Version 1.0. This English text is provided for convenience only: in case of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

  1. The short version

    The cargonode.app website writes no cookies to your device. It does not use Google Analytics or any other measurement tool, hosts no third-party pixels, loads no fonts, maps, videos or social buttons from external domains, and builds no advertising profiles.

    The only information that may stay in your browser is your light or dark theme preference, and it only gets there if you press the toggle yourself. It is not an identifier, it never reaches us and it cannot be used to recognise you.

    That is why there is no banner: there is nothing to consent to, and a panel asking permission for nothing is just one more obstacle between you and the page.

  2. Who the data controller is

  3. Cookies and equivalent technologies: what we are talking about

    Cookies are small files a site saves on a visitor’s device and reads back on later visits. Alongside them the law treats as equivalent — and this page treats the same way — the browser’s local and session storage, and tracking pixels, that is, snippets of code that tell a third party you passed through.

    The Italian rule is Article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, implementing Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC: storing information on a user’s device, or accessing information already stored there, requires consent, unless it is needed to deliver the service the user asked for or to remember a choice the user made.

  4. The one thing this site stores in your browser

    Name: “cn-theme”. Where: in the browser’s local storage, which is not even a cookie and therefore never travels with requests to the server. Content: the word “light” or the word “dark”. When: only if you press the theme toggle. Lifetime: until you clear the site data.

    What it is for: so you do not land on the light theme after choosing the dark one, and to avoid the white flash when the next page loads. It records a choice you made yourself, which puts it among the technical technologies exempt from consent.

    If you never touch the toggle, nothing is written: the site follows your operating system’s light or dark setting, which the browser exposes to pages without anything being saved.

  5. The contact form stores nothing on your device

    The form is protected by two anti-abuse checks: a hidden field a visitor never sees or fills in, and a check on the time elapsed between the page being drawn and the submission. Neither writes a cookie or stores information on your device: the moment the page was drawn lives in the tab’s volatile memory and disappears when you close it.

    When you press “send”, the page contacts a single address outside the page itself, and it is ours: contact.cargonode.app. What happens to the message from there is described in the Privacy Policy (https://cargonode.app/en/privacy/).

  6. No third parties, and not just as a figure of speech

    The site’s typefaces are embedded in the pages rather than fetched from an external service: your browser does not contact Google to draw this text. There are no remote images, no libraries pulled from someone else’s content delivery network, no embedded videos and no maps.

    The content security policy served with every page allows resources from the site’s own origin only, plus a single outbound connection, the one the contact form uses. This is not a promise resting on the words of this page: the browser enforces it, and a third-party resource would be blocked.

    The links to ivemind.com and to the product console are ordinary links: until you follow them, your browser sends nothing to those domains.

  7. The product console is a different matter

    This page is about the public website. The application reserved for customers, which answers at console.cargonode.app, uses browser storage to keep the session open after sign-in and to remember a few working preferences: these are technical storages, needed to deliver the service the user asked for by signing in, and they do not profile anyone.

    There are no third-party measurement tools there either. Customers who subscribe to the service receive the information on processing with the contract and the data processing agreement.

  8. How to act from your browser

    You can block or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings, under privacy or site data. On this site the only visible effect is that the theme goes back to following your system setting: nothing else changes and no function is lost.

    If you browse in a private window, or have set your browser to refuse any storage, the site works just the same: the code that reads the preference is written not to break when storage is unavailable.

  9. If this ever changes

    If we adopt an analytics or campaign measurement tool in future, three things will happen before it collects its first data point: this page will be updated with the provider’s name, the purpose, the data collected and the retention periods; a prior consent request will appear, with non-necessary categories preset to refusal; and a permanent link to change your mind at any time will appear in the footer.

  10. Rights and contact

    You may exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR by writing to privacy@ivemind.com; you will receive a reply within thirty days. You also retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
